Heather & Steve talk with K-Rob about this weekend’s Record Breaking Event in Providence!

K-Rob (Kevin Robinson) >>

It will be a distance world record. I will be doing a no-handed back flip from ramp to ramp, and it will be 100 foot in distance. To break the record, I have to go more than 82 feet. To even make it to the landing ramp I have to go at least 92 feet, so I don’t have a choice but to break the record,” said K-Rob. The world record attempt is especially special to Robinson because he and his team at the K-Rob Foundation set up this event, and it had to happen right here in his home state. “It’s been years that I’ve been wanting to do this. I’ve been wanting to do this for five years. Sponsors kept telling me no. Other venues kept telling me no. I’ve always wanted to do this in Rhode Island. Just to bring it home. I wanted to bring action sports back to where it all began to where the X-Games began,” said Robinson. The event will take place from 2 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13th with vendors, music and demonstrations all day long from Burnside Park. K-Rob will jump at 5 p.m., and it will air live on ESPN.
