Meet Max and Ava, this week’s FURRY FRIENDS of the WEEK! Adopt them today at the RISPCA!
Meet Max! He’s a 7-month old Portuguese Podengo who was surrendered because his owner’s living situation changed. He is a very playful and friendly guy who definitely needs his daily dose of exercise! He would benefit from some Positive Reinforcement Training to learn basic commands and better leash walking manners. He enjoys playing fetch and loves his chew toys. He has lived with cats but we are not sure how he would be with other dogs so we would have to do a meet and greet with any other dogs in the house.
Ava is 14-years old and was brought to the RISPCA because her owner was ill and no longer able to care for her. Despite her age she is still very playful and loves to run around. Ava has a limp that we believe is from an old injury that did not heal properly, but she doesn’t let it slow her down! Ava is very friendly and would make a great companion.
