Lite Rock 105 listener Rodrigo Betancur just built a 16-foot tall snowman in front of his house on Sheppard Avenue in North Providence! Turns out Rodrigo’s been building snowmen since he came to the U.S. 35 years ago, but he only started making them taller than 10 feet within the last five years.
He builds the snowman by laying down a plywood base and then packing snow on top of it and letting it freeze. Once a layer is frozen, he starts the process over again. This year’s snowman took five days to make.
